Most Disappointing team goes to the exact same team every single year Mason, so that award kinda goes without saying, but in case you must know I would think that they play in the windy city and need to mow their outfield wall.
Neil...check out cardsnation.wordpress.com when you get the chance.

Okay, yes!! This is all so true. You can't truly miss something until it is gone. Then, and only then, will you appreciate it in that new light. Even going a little further than lack of cell phones, can you imagine how it used to be when people did not have cars!! How inconvenient to our modern minds, and necessary. Oh so necessary.

Very impressed with the unbiased hand... a rarity in sports journalism these days. Of course I'm totally biased.

Very good choices. I am always pleased with your insight and unbiased perspective. However, since we live together, you will get the chance to explain to me why Lincecum deserved the Cy Young more than Carpenter or Wainwright. No biggie though. Also, it deserves to be mentioned that Joe Mauer missed the entire first month of the season and still crushed HIS OWN milestones as well as some milestones for any catcher. One more point. I think it could be interesting to give a most surprising team and a most disappointing team. Just a thought. Very good post. I look forward to the next NEILY AWARDS!

Bringing your new phone Friday. I was playing with it, it is really cool. Except I kept trying to get it to highlight my selection... I pressed every button trying to get the highlight to move. Then I remembered its a touch screen.

Thanks for sharing that Heather. I'm pretty sure we've all been in that place before. Part of the reason for the post is that I feel prayer is one of the greatest failures in my relationship with God. Therefore, I am studying it not just to share with the readers of my blog, but also to strengthen me and my own prayer life. I am a firm believer that if you find the strongest Christian you know, you have also found the one with the strongest prayer life.

My mom told me to come read your stuff because she thought I'd like it. So, I finally did, and she was right. I have been thinking about prayer a lot lately. It's been my mind's focal point these last few weeks and I have realized from these few weeks that prayer is So unbelievably underestimated in our society today. I'm really encouraged by all the things you said. I have realized something about "alone time" prayer, and that is this: I realized I had not been praying because I felt so ashamed before God. I felt guilty... and for those reasons, I would avoid prayer at all costs. What a vicious cycle! I decided to face my fears and just pray and confess everything to Him and it has changed my life so drastically. Since then, I have been able to see God working in the most intricate ways, and it is simply awe-inspiring. I no longer feel ashamed to go to God in prayer, but I feel at home now when I'm praying. When I'm happy, when I'm sad, when I just want to talk to Him. God is awesome and prayer is the greatest gift we've been given, other than Jesus Christ of course!
